Hi, I’m Simon
I've always been passionate about how businesses engage with customers and build value from those relationships.
Although my career began as a graphic designer, my interest in business led me into more client-facing roles—my first being selling BT ads. Interestingly, it was pitching to those businesses that inspired my own entrepreneurial journey.
I set up an events print company that I ran for 20 years. It was a privileged and unique, though tough, experience that later became the foundation for CompellingStory.
I continued my sales career in the print sector, but with a marketing focus that appealed to the creative in me.
My clients were sales and marketing teams, and it was here that I witnessed first-hand the power of storytelling in business—and the struggles of companies that overlooked it.
That's when the entrepreneur in me grew frustrated: I wanted to help, but it was outside the scope of my role.
And so, CompellingStory was born—to help businesses create the kind of customer relationships that drive real competitive advantage.
